    This sounds great!

We'll be making an official announcement very soon with confirmed dates and more details, but we wanted to go ahead and tease something we have been dreaming about since before we opened the brewery-- hosting our very own beer festival here in Downtown Greeley! We still have a few more details to iron out, but we're fairly confident that the first annual WeldWerks Invitational will be happening in late June of 2018 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations! We're also excited to tease a list of a few of our friends who have already tentatively committed to join us: The Answer Brewpub, Casa Agria Specialty Ales, Great Notion Brewing, Casey Brewing and Blending, Wiley Roots Brewing Company, Cerebral Brewing, Toppling Goliath Brewing Co., Bottle Logic Brewing, Kane Brewing Company, Perennial Artisan Ales, and Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales, just to name a few!

We can't wait to share more details with you very soon, but we were so excited about this event that we just couldn't keep the secret to ourselves any longer!

I wonder if this dude is getting Wiley Roots and WeldWerks mixed up? Wiley Roots definitely uses extract, the brewer told me as much.

WeldWerks are bringing out the big guns this weekend:

We're releasing a bunch of new beers this week leading up to this weekend's Vanilla Medianoche bottle pick up. As always, limits and availability are subject to change.

For starters, French Toast Stout and Raspberry Berliner will be available on draft and in 16 oz 4-packs starting Wednesday. Both should be available through the weekend. FTS 4-packs are $15 and Raspberry Berliner 4-packs are $14, limit 1 case of each per person.

We will also be canning two more beers on Friday, which will be available as soon as they are packaged. More details to follow.

Additionally, we are packaging Cookies & Cream Achromatic in 22 oz bottles on Thursday, which will be available starting at noon on Friday. Bottles will be $15 each with a limit of 4 per person.

Plus we will have three different versions of Medianoche available exclusively in the taproom starting at noon on Friday:
~Medianoche Reserve bottles will be available for on-site consumption for $40 each, limit 1 per person.
~Rum Double Barrel Medianoche will be available exclusively on draft. This special 15.1% ABV version of Medianoche was aged in a freshly emptied Breckenridge bourbon barrel for 10 months, then racked into a freshly emptied rum barrel and aged for an additional 10 months.
~Single Barrel Rye Coffee Maple Medianoche will also be available exclusively on draft. We added maple syrup and 10 lbs of freshly roasted Mama Nelly's Peruvian coffee from Zoe's Cafe & Events to a single barrel batch of Medianoche. This specifc batch was aged for 15 months in a Woodford Reserve Rye Whiskey barrel.

I’m getting in on that Medianoche Reserve on Friday at high noon if anyone is interested.

Won’t be spending too much more than 30 minutes at WeldWerks due to flight home (and I have Double Barrel to try as well) so let me know if you’re down for a share.

Fuuuuuccccckkkkk. That's inanse. And now I'm even more pissed I had to cancel my work trip (which entailed not buying a bottle of Vanilla Medianoche that I won via the lottery). Ugh.

I'm hoping there's bottles of the Reserve leftover until Saturday. If so, I'll be buying one for myself and for the first 2-3 people that want a pour of it.
I get paid Friday which is fortunate but WW will be taking a huge chunk out of that. It is what it is, I've accepted it.

I was planning on going up to Weldwerks on Friday, unaware of all this stuff going on...

Is it going to be a complete madhouse? I like beer but I am kind of past the standing in line outside for an hour or two just to get a seat thing.

I'd say if you get there right at noon, yes, expect a neckbeard line. But anytime after that I think would be fine, as early as 12:30 it should calm down.

Because nothing else has increased in price since last year? Not water, or grains, or hops, or quality control, or barrels, or leased space for said barrels, or electricity to maintain temp control etc etc? I'm sure Neil has stepped up lab testing after previous issues, and we all feel the utilities and housing market increases. Just blaming vanilla is silly.

I respectfully disagree. Every single thing you mentioned would not add significant cost to the beer. Other breweries aren't charging $55 for a beer. Why is that? Cerebral's beer is nearly identical, and it was 50% of the price. The ONLY significant variant was the quantity of vanilla, which I'd argue wasn't enough more to justify $22.50. Both are similar in ABV, both aged in bourbon barrels, both aged 17-18 months, both used Madagascar vanilla, both stouts.

Barrels, hops, water, grains, would be all the same market prices. Leased space? Quality control? If those add even $5 PER BOTTLE, they have a really really bad business model. And I doubt that's the case, rather they are making profit on an outrageously popular beer.... THAT's capitalizing on demand my friend, not 'simply' added overhead and cost.

It's also even more difficult to say it's anything other than that simply because no one else has doubled their BA beer prices in the last year. So it can't be the other factors you listed because the market/economy would have impacted all breweries, not just WW.

I'll be heading up around noon on Saturday. If they still have bottles left, hit me up, and I'll go in on one with you.

It impacts every brewery, I never said it didn't. I'm simply saying that the cost of everything else isn't negligible as you stated. Way to read between the lines though.

Neglible means it's not enough to factor in, not sure what it means to you. If everyone has similar costs those costs are negligible as to the price difference.... so I'm not sure why you think they aren't.

From your initial statement it seemed like you were saying all those smaller things could be why the price is doubled, but if everyone else experiences those same market influences why don't their prices reflect it?
