Are the releases typically cash only or do they take credit cards? Looking forward to my first Weldwerks release. New to Denver from Chicago and hoping the beer release lines aren’t quite as crazy here.

It will be crazy. Looking at facebook there is roughly 100 people in line already.

Line is closer to 150. We’re about 50-60 in line and got here at 7:20 to give some perspective.

Or you know, get in line for beers you actually want to drink.

    I'm not in line.

Buddy said he'd grab me one, sometimes people are just nice and not profiteering shitlords.

Sounds like you guys are on the same page then and no one in this thread appears to fit the bill of profiteering shitlord or only there to fill a pre-trade so maybe pump the breaks there fella

I'm mostly just teasing those DBT fellas we all know and love.
I don't like lines so that whole 7am thing doesn't jive. Wasn't even directed at anyone.

Man you all get fiery, even with a winky face! Releases are serious business apparently. Looking forward to trying it though. I'm sure its the goodness.

Lol no I am just trying to avoid turning this thread into something you'd read on DBT and thus wanting to shut down any of that nonsense quick and up front; it's just not necessary and sarcasm/joking is tough to translate on the interwebz no matter how many winky faces are included.

I decided to skip the release because 4 hours of driving and 4 hours in line just isn't worth it to me these days. I'll probably throw an FO+ at it locally, but otherwise, probably never try it and that's ok too (although I am sure it's great).

    Anyhow,

DDH Mosaic Bits is tasty as can be. I also really enjoyed this new Sour Double Milkshake IPA. Good stuff. Crushable.

That's the Conflict Resolution right? Crushable seems like a crazy term for an 8.5% soured, lactose IPA lol but I am hoping to try it the next time I am up there nonetheless. Keller Pils 2.0 on the other hand... crushable is def the word for the that one.

Shockingly, I haven't heard mum on Sweet Disposition yet from the friends I know up there.

Want to send a shoutout to @Tarheel4985 and crew for an unbelievably smooth release yesterday. That was the most people I’ve ever seen at a WW release/event ever (minus the invitational of course) and they couldn’t have handled it better. 5 POS at the to-go/draft line made a huge difference. That line was constantly moving and never slowed down. The draft only line was never really that long either while we were there. Even when it was at its longest (maybe 10-12 people) it moved quick. For reference, my group of 3 were around 60th in line and were up at the checkout within 15 mins tops... Sweet Disposition itself I thought was really good. The maple and vanilla were very much present on the nose and taste without being overly sweet. My only knock on the beer is that I didn’t get much bourbon flavor. I think the adjuncts and the use of a rum barrel may have masked that. The tappings of Single Barrel S’mores Noche and 13 month Single Barrel Noche were also a plus. Congrats WW on a great release!

Going to Denver next month from the 9th to the 12th... was wondering if it makes more sense to drive up to Greeley on the 9th after I watch the Dodgers/Rockies game or on the 11th after I do a drive around Estes Park. Would do breweries around Boulder on the 11th if I do WW on the 9th, otherwise I would flip it around

Thanks for the kind words @JakeT469 and thanks to everyone who made it out on Saturday. We try to make all of our releases as smooth as possible and while no system is perfect, Sweet Disposition might be our most efficient one yet, despite also being our biggest. We're looking forward to doing it all again on September 19th...

Did I send my boss an email at 10 PM asking for yet another day off of work that week last night? Yes. Yes I did.

I really think either way, but I did Estes to Greeley this weekend, never driven out of the mountains on highway 34 before but it is really really nice alongside the Big Thompson River, then just continued it on to Greeley. Really nice drive. Missed all of the Sweet Disposition, got there about 6pm Sunday. Hope to see that one again. The 13 Month Medianoche more than made up for it though.
