Extra Extra is running low... others are fine.

Kudos to WeldWerks for having a separate bottle/can/crowler line. The "order forms" for cans / crowlers was great as well and seemed to speed up the process a bit. Rye Vanilla Medianoche was awesome (as well as Key Lime Pie Berliner which I passed on before. WOW, talk about a whole pie in a glass!! Wonderful!) Also, gotta put in a plug for The Tramp About; their food was amazing as always.

    Hats off to @Tarheel4985

I drank a EEJB and a PCFB (cans) last night. But were fantastic, and in particular the Pina Colada Fruity bits was sensational. Whatever you did while you were canning, it worked. I'm not sure how well these'll hold up, because they won't be around for long.

They had some Extra, Extra at the IPA Showdown Wednesday night. Was really excellent!

I feel like Pina Colada is potentially under-consumed because the name makes it sound scary sweet? Such good balance and super sessionable. It's my #1 IPA. Sorry, I'm not sorry.

Glad you guys enjoyed the beers and thanks for stopping by the taproom. Sorry I wasn't around this week but if you're at the festival, stop by and say hi. Cheers!

For anyone that has not had the Rye Vanilla Medianoche and will likely miss out: I did not get much pronounced "added vanilla" character to it. Which I can see the dessert stout bros being disappointed by. But the rye barrel adds a great spicy character to the beer, which many seem to confusing with being "hot" or "boozy." Or maybe it's just me...

It's simply a magnificent rye aged imperial stout. I had nilla' wafer burps later in the evenings.

Agreed with the subtlety of the vanilla... that was a positive for me though. Definitely amazing stuff

just tried the rye nilla (still on tap as of Sunday afternoon) and it is great, great, great. All 4 packs (except for extra extra juicy) still available. 4 packs of alpha bits available now.

Compared to other similar vanilla barrel-aged stouts, I would definitely agree that the vanilla character is a bit more subtle. But that’s because it was actually the second use of that particular batch of vanilla .

Stay tuned for an announcement in the next week or so about what we did with the first use of that vanilla...

    Vanilla Medianoche batch 2?

Here's to hoping that the next Medianoche release isn't happening over the holidays. How about a random weekday/weekend release when locals are the only ones around? Please! :-)

Nobody is a "local" of Greeley but I get what you're saying. Also, I bought a 4 pack of Alpha Bits, along with all of the other 4 packs last week from the taproom, and noticed the canning date is from August. Nothing fresher than that??

Don't take this as attacking, but a town of 100,000 and no one is "local" to it? Perhaps I don't understand what you mean by that? Does that mean Wiley Roots and WeldWerks (and perhaps other local breweries) are banking on the travelling beer drinker? I suppose you mean "local" as in life-long, never moved? If that's the case, there are fewer locals of any city/town/area anymore. Jobs move people, colleges move people (Univ. of Northern Colorado), people move people. In fact, I remember during a quieter, non-release visit one of the gals behind the bar was a local.

Anyway, maybe I'm not "in the know" on Greeley since I only visit every two to three months. I'm certainly not a local, but I've met a few and they're all pretty awesome.

Looking forward to that Vanilla Medianoche. Think I'll have to post a trade for that one since I made my business trip to town for the Medianoche/can release. It was worth it.

Vanilla ain't cheap. Also $10 from every purchase is donated to the food bank, which is very awesome of WW to do.

Also wonder how many of the "FUCK YOU WELDWERKS" people from the last Medianoche release will enter this lottery. All of them, I assume.
