So the Bruery decided to launch a new brand today...and it isn't a joke! They are finally doing IPAs in CANS.

The official release info can be found here: http://www.thebruery.com/offshoot-beer-co-ipa-can-launch/

    Today's tap releases are:

    Out of Context™
IPA with a West Coast personality and Western World malt bill, featuring Vienna malt, a light haze, a slightly bitter personality and equal heaps of Simcoe, El Dorado and African Queen hops.

    Perjury™
Double dry-hopped Double IPA, fabricated from a malt bill featuring two-row, pilsner malt and oats, and an intense, fruity hop character forged from heavy doses of Simcoe, Citra and a dash Huell Melon.

    Delayed Gratification™
Juicy East Coast-style IPA, with impeccable timing and mouthfeel, thanks to a malt bill featuring two-row, wheat and oats, and a fruity yeast character complemented primarily by Citra, with El Dorado and Mandarina Bavaria hops.

The first two can releases (out later this month are)

Fashionably Late™ a juicy, hazy IPA
Hops: Citra, El Dorado, and Mandarina Bavaria
Malts: Two-Row and Pale Wheat malts, rolled oats
    Yeast: S-04
    ABV: 6.5%

Better Late Than Never™ a juicy, hazy Double IPA
    Hops: Mosaic, Vic Secret, Citra
    Malts: Golden Promise, Wheat Malt
    Yeast: BSI-Barbarian
    ABV: 8.5%

I've got to say, I haven't been this excited about the bruery doing something in a long time! Hopefully the beer is great!

100% not a joke. A legit trademark has been taken out and Patrick Rue himself provided proof in the Bruery thread. It's 100% legit.

But it is a horrible way to launch your brand. Instead of talking about how great it is, people won't even believe it's real for a few days.

Awesome! Maybe they will actually make enough to where we won't have to waste our time and sell our souls to acquire some. I know IPA's were never a goal of theirs, but I've always like their hoppy stuff. Looking forward to this. Cheers!

The beers are officially listed on tap at the tasting room website. Someone can corroborate these beers in person in half an hour when the tasting room opens. I'll be sitting here at work eagerly awaiting a review.

The Bruery jumping on a bandwagon? I'm shocked!

Not participating in the haze craze is just leaving money on the table. The market will be saturated soon.

I still don't believe if this is real or not.....anyone hit the tap room yet? I remember the last good joke they did with The Full Pint.

While I really want this to be real, I'm currently very doubtful. If it's a prank, it's one heck of an elaborate one. And if it's a prank, I wish they had spent the clearly significant time actually making more great beers, hoppy or otherwise.

I don't see how this would be a prank when they went as far to add the brewery to untappd with logos and beer descriptions. That's a lot of effort to prank us.

Regardless of whether the beer is real or not, that logo is the real joke. Yikes!
