I could not stop laughing when i saw their new labels. The best by date has now been blacked out and the date is now on their bottle instead of what was originally planned to be on the label. Seriously guys, you make really good beer, have a great facility in the middle of MM and seem like nice people. But it is time to hire a real and competent CEO for your company. Micky Mouse would never be where he is without a solid and good business plan. Make it happen Ocean Phenomenon.
Wow, that is nuts . Green Flash schizophrenic over last 3 years or so with their bottle dating and packaging.
I purchased a 4 pk of the Hop Head Red a while back with the new labeling. I scoured the bottle and could not find a date of any kind. Just the blank best by label with nothing on it.... I went ahead and purchased the beer assuming it couldnt be that old with the new packaging. WRONGO. Tasted old as phukc. Raisiny Malty oxidized mess. Just old. I am a big fan of this beer so i was pretty disappointed.
Wait what? It's not on the labels? I haven't picked up anything from Green Flash since like 2-3 months ago when I picked up some Palate Wrecker in the tasting room
There is a spot for a best by date on the label, but all of the ones I've seen have had that part blank.
On the new label for the white IPA that part of label is still there with best by written in the same spot but the spot is just empty black space and the bottle is dated on the neck.
You guys are a bit harsh. While I agree that the rebranding should have all taken place at once (with correct Best By dating at launch), it's obvious that this is largely due to the rebranding effort and will be fixed.
Precisely. They just announced distro for Hawaii, their 49th state, and are soon going to have two decent sized production facilities on line. When a brewery reaches that size, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to have their bottle dating equipment in sync with their re-branding efforts.
