The IRA was by far one of my favorite beers ever by Summit. So excited!!!

I sure hope this is the same price point as saga. Saga might have a run for its money with the rye.

Not nearly as enamored with Frost Line Rye. It has been 4 years since IRA so I think a comparison is not fair. From my notes it seems the hop additions have changed. Maybe more Summit and less Citra in this beer or just a variation in the hop. I started to pick up the onion and garlic attributes of Summit hops that I did not get in IRA. But I love the rye in this beer. Outstanding.

Weird. I tasted garlic and onion the only time I had saga on tap and just figured the lines were dirty. So this is common with summit beers? I never pick it up with the epa

Some people pick it up from the Summit hop. EPA and Saga does not use Summit.

Indeed Day Tripper uses them but I don't get the onion/garlic in it. Last beer that really did it for me was a couple years ago with Founders Devil Dancer.

That's interesting. I'm pretty sensitive to the onion/garlic flavors and usually stay away from beers using the summit hop. I don't get any of that with this one...But tit looks like you're onto something as they list that hop in the descripton....I had two more last night and still think it is pretty spot on for the IRA but like you said that was four years ago.

Yeah, Devil Dancer is an undrinkable onion bomb for me. I could barely choke down enough to review it (despite it looking and smelling fantastic).
