Just opened one. Very good beer. I'm pleasantly surprised how much Chardonnay is in the nose.

Compare it to Eiraphiotes or however you spell that beer.

Hey folks, Steven here. I would ask that those of you who have bottles of Saison Gee please wait before opening them. It is rather embarrassing, but we are having a problem with some bottles/cases being under carbonated. This is our first time bottle conditioning beer. It seems that the cases on the outside edges of the pallet are ok, but the cases from the interior of the pallet were more insulated and therefore cooler and therefore did not ferment at the same rate. It's rather obvious now, and we now know better. But when we were pulling samples to test we pulled all those samples from the top cases. After reports of flat beer, we have gone back and pulled from different cases at different locations on the pallet and have deduced that the problem bottles were from the interior cases. But since there is no way of knowing where the case was taken from, we advise patience and that everyone sit on their bottles for a few weeks. It took 4 weeks for our test bottles to condition, and we waited two more weeks to make sure we were not going to have over carbonated beers. So I advise you wait at least 4 weeks. My sincere apologies!

If you wish to return bottles we will happily refund $. If you can't, I advise you remove your bottles from the refrigerator and let sit out at room temperature. It would help to rouse the yeast and lay on its side, that will speed up the process.

    Again, my apologies.

So if we lay out in room temperature, say in a wine rack, do you still recommend 4 weeks?

It's not too late. Recall optional. Leaving bottles at room temp for 4 weeks will solve carbonation problem.

    Hey Folks,

I’ve spent much of the morning speaking with retailers that got the Saison Gee. Most are planning on sitting on the cases until they are ready to go. Worst case is there will be a little longer wait until the beer will be ready for sale/consumption. But, the beer will be back on the shelves soon enough.

I’m really thankful for our understanding and supportive retailers.

Draft wouldn't be impacted since it is force carbonated ... only the bottles are being finicky. Wish I had the time to get by the Bee to try it out.

In Charlotte, both Duckworth's locations plus Vintner Wine Market had it on draft as of today. All bottles, however, have been pulled for now. I want to say I saw it on at Common Market on Commonwealth too, but memory's off. I know they have a keg, can't remember if it's on.

It's important to remember that only some of the bottles were impacted by undercarbonation, but better safe than sorry. A few weeks of room-temperature on-the-side storage, and you'll thank yourself.
