Some of the comments on that article are priceless. Apparently the only people interested in beers over 12% are raging alcoholics. Please. If someone is just looking to get wasted, they're not going to spend the kind of money we do for craft beer. They'll spend it on a bottle of shitty Kamchatka vodka or something else in the liquor isle.

With the 21% cap they are keeping out like what 20 beers total? Are your congress(wo)men scared of affluent people spending 100 bucks on a tactical nuclear penguin, double black or a utopias? Can a single congressperson name one beer over 21%?

You know, a 15% ABV, 12 dollar 12oz bottle of beer is worse than a bottle of 12 dollar, 20% diluted vodka from the grocery store down the street. Yep.

An abv limit on beer makes ZERO sense if it doesn't apply to all forms of alcohol, not that there should be limits. It was like the whole casino debate in this state that raged on & on, you have church bingo, state lottery, shitty purse havin' horse racing...uh hello, that's gambling. What no anti-gambling legislator ever got stuck behind a scratch off degenerate at a gas station or corner store, c'mon. Lottery machine, slot machine what's the difference. I remember when the state limit was under 8% until the early-mid 90's...talk about nuts. You could still find stuff around 8% if you shopped the mom & pop/import shops but that was it.
