Hi y'all. I reside in Chicago, and have family I visit monthly in SE Mich. I'm heading to Cedar Point Friday night and staying the evening and wanted to know if y'all had any recommendations regarding good spots near Sandusky to snag bottles or pours from breweries I'm not exposed to in Chicago or SE Michigan. Is Fat Head's in Northwest Ohio? Any other recs would be great. Thanks guys.
You might have to drive a little to get some Fat Heads http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/trip-to-canton-and-cedar-point.198907/#post-2644648
Thanks for the link! My apologies I didn't do much digging beforehand. Although much of that thread focuses more on Canton where I'm on a bit of a strict time budget that doesn't really allow for a trip to Canton. Still some good suggestions there though. Thanks again.
There is an Asian restaurant in Sandusky that has a good tap list, the name eludes me right now. Also, a 20-25 minute drive west towards Port Clinton puts you at Catawba Island Brewing- they usually have some good stuff and a couple guest taps too. Worth the drive, if you've got the time to kill. Also open on Sunday's. Bassett's Grocery and Cheese Haven both have some Ohio beers to go, they are right across from each other, between Marblehead and Port Clinton.
MEKONG! They also have another location in RVA. Amazing customer service, good prices for a bar and most importantly a surprisingly good selection for the area.
