First place I've seen it is at Crafted Drafts here in Columbus. He's not selling until Thursday. One bottle per customer.

I should have went to that one.the market lane one told us 1 4 pack per customer then when it came in said we are keeping 4 4 packs and gave us in line 1 bottle.the first guy in lane was pissed the look on his face was heart breaking.I just took it in stride but disappointed they did that to every one when they could have told us an hour before as we all stood there in line I myself drove an hour.marking them off my list of places I'll buy beer from

I stopped in at Royal Park fine wine in Strongsville and George the owner wouldnt sell me a bottle unless I purchased $30 worth of beer(not counting the KBS). Are they allowed to do that? I know they don't care, but they've officially lost my business over 1 twelve ounce bottle. Royal Park in North Royalton was awesome btw, Joe the owner sold me a KBS with no issues.

I got a four pack for $21 at Rocky River Heinens today and Bay Village Heinens is getting it tomorrow.

Also, saw Simones in Lakewood posted they got some today with one bottle limit.

Bay Village Heinens is out / sold unless they had you on a list ahead of time (months apparently)

    Don't waste your time

You should post this on their Facebook page. I can't stand when retailers hog the allotment

2/3 of the case that the Whole Foods in Upper Arlington received was purchased by employees.

I feel like if their employees want to do so, they can clock out and stand in line with the folks that are there.

This is amazing. They told me at noon that they'd sell four-packs first come, first served at 3 p.m.; when I came back at 3:08, sold out.

If there's a good place to buy this beer in Columbus, I can't find it. Three years ago, Gentile's let my wife reserve a four-pack in February, the next year some dude there told me with a half-smirk that he didn't they could sell KBS because it's over the state's ABV cap. Last year, the only way I got any was from Boulevard Carryout in Grandview, which required me to buy a four-pack of Founders Imperial Stout for each single bottle of KBS I was allowed to buy. $40 for 10 beers, two of which I was seeking.

I guess if anything good comes from this annual charade, it teaches you which places are worth your beer money the rest of the year and which ones aren't.

Yeah, they love their beer over there. Very smart about their beer, and very friendly.

I'm 50/50 on this one, on one hand the customer comes first, on the other hand the employees there aren't exactly making six figures, so if this is a perk of working there I can't begrudge them that either.

I'll bet Founders would frown on that for sure and I totally get that it blows from a customer point of view.

FIS is damn good, but I refuse on principle to buy a 4-pack of a different beer to get a single bottle of a beer I want.

Yeah, I definitely don't begrudge them for getting some in principle, but when the beer is as limited as KBS is in Columbus it's shitty to only sell 1/3 of it to the people that keep the store in business.

Got no problem with employees getting a bottle. 16 of 24 bottles? :astonished:

This is a major release from a well known regional brewery too. This isn't some esoteric 6 bottle case of Belgian beer that can only be divided so many ways.

Absolutely. The PP above just said he won't go back to Whole Foods for beer, which is a market reality for them. They aren't the only show in town, and indeed, there are plenty of places within 5 minutes that sell pretty much the same beer as them. So is it really worth losing a customer to make sure that your employees get their allotment?

Was just informed by the Premium Beverage delivery guy that there is a white van chasing down trucks and STEALING cases of KBS off the back of the truck. A text went out this morning to all their drivers to be careful and be on the look out. Keeping it classy....just put all the beer in kegs. Not worth the frustration for all.
