I will be going to the Hill farmstead farmhouse festival and wanted to get some information. Wanted to pick up some heady topper in waterbury is there a good place to stay in town/or camping near by. For lawsons when do they release the bottles and where at? Other than those three breweries anything else in the area I should look out for or stop at.

See tylermains' thread, where some of this is covered. Stagecoach Inn right in Waterbury village is your best bet, but plenty of options within a 20 minute drive. For Lawson's, I'd recommend emailing the brewery with your time frame. Generally, the Warren Store on Thu/Fri. If you have the time and inclination to detour south 30 miles or so, I highly recommend the Bobcat Cafe in Bristol. All the lagers are pretty much perfect and there are usually some very interesting Belgian and German ales on tap too. The food is phenomenal. A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere.

Bobcat needs to get way more credit than it does. If you go for beer and dinner you won't be disappointed, unless you don't have a reservation, this place gets busy. I highly suggest the meatloaf and/or wings!

In Waterbury, there is Little River state park which allows camping and there is also a Best Western near the Waterbury/Stowe line.

For Lawson's you might also want to check to see if there is a Waitsfield Farmer's Market going on while you're here. Usually someone is there selling bottles and/or offering tastes - a lot of times it is Sean himself.

If you are coming from Ohio, you'll probably come up Rt 22A / Rt 7; we really have no east/west highways in Vermont. On Rt 7 in Shelburne you'll pass a relatively new brewery called Fiddlehead. They make an awesome IPA and usually have something else on tap too.
