Just had the Roughtail 1st Anniversary Ale, a very well done DIPA. I liked Hoptometrist a little more, but just barely...

I picked up the Roughtail 1st Anniversary yesterday at Brown's in Stillwater. Can't wait to try.

I see Prairie put Jazz Millions into 120 3L bottles. Not sure if that's the only format or how much they made.

In other news...I see Prairie now has a Texas Brand Ambassador working for them. Have to hand it to Prairie when it comes to keeping consumers up to date. The other Okie brewers don't really do much of that.

The 120 3L bottles are gin barrel aged Jazz Millions. Word on the block is regular (not BA) Jazz Millions will be in 500mls. Regarding Ambassadors most OK breweries aren't as big as prairie currently. I'm sure once the newer ones get bigger they'll do the same.

Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot they were doing a gin barrel version of Jazz.

Not trying to be negative, but with Founders coming in, I sure hope we see less of this crappy reject beer from other states that seems to find its way to here & Arkansas ( different brewers for the most part ). Would love to see more of a trend towards quality & freshness...

Agreed. Does anyone happen to know what day Founders is supposed to hit shelves in OK?

Well I picked up a bunch of Founders stuff today... Probably the freshest out of state IPA I've ever gotten, not quite 2 weeks old!

I'm with you. One of my biggest gripes the past few years has been watching quality breweries (Avery, Bear Republic off the top of my head) leave, and the void filled with any number D-listers. Avery is back, and now we have Founders, and haven't lost any Breweries of import in exchange. Plus we've seen some serious local strides forward. Will be interesting how the next few years plays out.

Had the Porter from Caldera, nice beer albeit stupid expensive. Over $13 with tax...

    Caldera is seriously overpriced imo.
