Oktoberfest in cans?

    does anyone know of any brewery putting Oktoberfest in cans this season? I would love to have some to take tailgating.

    Leinenkugel's, Shiner, St. Arnold, and Red Hare have all done it before. You will probably only find St. Arnold in TX and FL, and Red Hare in the southeast though.

    You'd have to trade for it, but Jacks Abby just released their Copper Legend Oktoberfest in 16oz cans. $9.99 a 6-pack too. I've already been tailgating with them.

    Sly Fox packages their Oktoberfest in cans and IMO that beers is an excellent Oktoberfest beer.

    Unfortunately this beer is not distributed to Colorado.

    Anthem Brewing in Oklahoma and Sante Fe Brewing in New Mexico have canned Oktos.

    If you're still in Colorado, then these (Dry Dock and Santa Fe) might be your best options. I've heard great things about the DD version, but I wasn't too enamored with Santa Fe's last year. I was hoping Odell was going to put theirs out with that new canning line, but no dice. If you're trying to get funky, Odd13 put out an Oktoberfest with Brett last year, and they've been canning everything recently so maybe we'll see that in cans too.

    Also, Upslope came out with a canned Oktoberfest last year in their tap-room series tallboys that I thought was very good. Plus I fuckin' love tallboys.

    There are a few in the great lakes area - Rev Oktoberfest, Old Style Oktoberfest, Buckle Down Oktoberfest. Not sure any of them are worth trading for ...

    Doubt you can get it all the way over in Colorado, but local guys from Buckledown just released their Oktoberfest in 6 pack cans and it's pretty damn good. Now I need to sip on a Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest to renew my faith in Germany lol
