Well we've made it into September everyone and I saw Ayinger's Oktoberfest (my personal favourite) in stores a few days ago. I long for the return of the Granville Island Oktoberfest seasonal they made a few years back, but I know that's probably not in the cards. Last year, living in Alberta I drank my fair share of Alley Kat's Oktoberfest-Really nice interpretation of the style. Tried the Paulaner gift pack with the massive glass and found the novelty to be pretty cool, but the beer was a bit thin compared to others. Always on the prowl for a new Marzen to try.

What brew is everyone looking forward to in the spirit of fall and Oktoberfest?

Hope that Sam Adams Ok fest makes it here again and also any local OK fests would be great.

Ayinger has always been a favorite, there was one from a brewpub in braunschweig I liked when I lived there, Narragansett Fest is a good offering as well.

What I find funny is in some of the reviews here on BA you find people searching for pumpkin flavors in the oktoberfest beers and saying "wow what a great example of pumpkin!" umm...not quite

I was happy to see for the first time in my City a Marzen from just outside of Ottawa.
Beau's Nightmarzen. For years it's been released and never made it near me. Almost walked right past it this morning. Can't wait to open one today!
