Old Curmudgen barrel or oak chips ?

    Who can tell me if this is BA or do they use oak chips.Either way i had a fresh one last night and it was awesome.Gonna let a couple sit for awhile.

    I am not 100% certain, but I dont think that old curmudgen has any barrel aging or oak chips used in the brewing of this beer. Someone correct me if I am wrong...

    If you like old curmudgeon you really need to try
    "Curmudgeons Better Half" this is barrel aged and has an amazing molases and maple syrup type backend flavor
    so good

    Love the base beer, but I found CBH to be far too sweet

    Most likely oak chips because a new unused barrel would be way more expensive and chips work just fine to give the effect the brewer is looking for. Usually the give away is "oak-aged" rather than "oak-barrel aged."
