It is a sad time in Werribee. Old Habits is closing on November 15th. It's a nice little place on the main street of town, and it was great to stop in and pick a beer from the fridge and have them pour it for you. They will be missed.
As long as the Park Hotel remains afloat, Werribee won't become a craft beer desert. Of course, staying afloat is the key, which can't be guaranteed with the state of the Australian hotel industry these days! Cheers!
The Park is ok. I can usually find one tap of something I like when I go in there. Instead of paying Uber, when I get a takeaway pizza from Tocca, I call it in and drive to town right away. I usually have time for a beer at the Park before walking over to get the pizza.
I used to do the same with Town and Country Pizza in Waurn Ponds when Groove Train was open! The excuses we find for a beer... Cheers!
