I happen to like Paulaner beer a lot. However, in Western PA where I live, I am constantly turning away from buying cases because they are past their freshness date. I learned awhile ago that Paulaner mixed cases may have beer as old as 1.5 years past the date. I can get six packs that are fresh, just not cases.

Any idea what is going on with Paulaner?

:astonished: But...sixpacks come out of cases (doubt they do loose pack cases just for PA), so your local "Importing" (wholesale) distributor of Paulaner must have fresher stuff. If your local retail distributor won't order fresh cases, find out who the regional wholesale distributor is by contacting Paulaner USA

it's not Paulaner per se, but more so the second tier distributor allowing the cases to sit in the corner of their warehouse...this has always been an huge issue in PA in certain areas.

But don't the fresh six-packs the OP finds come out of cases from the same "second tier distributor" ?
