Just finished an Old Rasputin bottled 3/2013...my first since my first taste last April. It's sooo much better than I remembered (if that's even possible). Not sure why we don't here a lot more love about Old Raspy on this thread.

    Because it's easy to access.

Yes, highly accessible world class beers don't get much discussion when they're overshadowed by flavor-of-the-week new offerings and overhyped limited releases that most likely aren't as good as people think they are.

Old Rasputin is one of the highest-rated and highly-regarded RIS's...but, like these other guys have said, it is overshadowed because it's available everywhere.

It's kind of heavy on the dark fruit for me (plum and fig notes), but not enough to steal my enjoyment of it. I find it very respectable. When there's no ten fidy i sometimes will buy this (or Courage RIS) and am always pleasantly reminded that it's a good offering.

Great beer. Not a huge Impy Stout guy, but Old Raspy is really, really good.

This was the first stout I ever had many years ago. Still great today.

Where are the bottled on dates on these? I looked all over my bottles and couldn't find them.

From the first time Old Rasp touched my lips I knew I was in love with it. Now many beers later, old rasp is still a go to favorite when I'm repeating beers or breaking one out for a family function.

It is truly exemplary and not as expensive as some others. The label is enough to entice me as it suggests a long russian novel.

It's the first RIS I tried, I loved it. I haven't had it for a while, but I will when I visit the States in January.

Really enjoy Old Rasputin now. I remember thinking the first one was a chore to finish, but that was right when I got into craft beer. I think my palate got smarter, and now it's a wonderful stout that you've got to spend some bucks (Founder's, etc) to surpass.

It's easily accessible and at $8 a four pack...is it 2x better than ten fidy? Not at all. But it's still damn good!

Old Rasputin is rated A 96 here. What lack of love is there ? Old Coast also has its share of limited editions.

Ive never had one, but just found a local place that sells it, so it will be on my list to get next week, along with some St. Bernardus Abt 12. Should be a good week I think.
