OK, I've missed grabbing a bottle of this a couple of times now. It's the oldest bottle on my wants list & I want to knock it off. Due to the price, the bourbon version hung around for quite a while, so I'm assuming this one is still on shelves too...somewhere. Anybody want to share where?

tl;dr where can I find a bottle of this?

There were several bottles at Haskell's in White Bear Lake last week when I was there.

I am interested in this as well. I received a bottle as a gift and had not purchased any because of the price. Then we recently drank it. Aaaaah, I want more of it. Totally appealed to my palate.

It's really tasty. But it's also the most deceptive bottle that I've yet seen - the (ridiculously) heavy bottle gives the impression that you're getting a lot of beer. I poured a couple small glasses, hefted the bottle to refill, and though it felt like there was a good amount left, a few drops trickled out. It's really pricy for only 500 ml.

Are you sure? They had plenty of the 2011 regular, but I didn't see any of the Brandy Barrel version (another good BA tipped me off there was some there). And when I asked around the employees asked like I was looking for a used unicorn.

Search hard for this bottle! Brandy old stock is a one of my top 5 BA Old Ales(along with the likes of AftW and CAftW, yes it is really that good!!!). Had the 2005 vintage when it was 8 years old and it was stellar. Had the 2011 fresh it too was stellar.

I was in there today, The "2011 Old Stock Cellar Reserve" (I believe this is the beer you speak of) is still on the bomber shelves, Not in the most organized manner, but on the side view closest to the registers.

I did see those, they were the regular Cellar Reserve, not the Brandy.

I never did hear anything via social media or other buzz about the Brandy version showing up in the Twin Cities - I wonder if it was just the aged 2011 version sans Brandy that made it this far north.

I have always wanted to try the brandy but never bought any because of the price. I'd be interested as well since I have a b-day coming up and might spend a little more. I know I could get a lot of saga, but it is a 'special' occasion.

I agree with EJ. Pretty sure the only cellar reserve I've seen in the cities is the Brandy barrel 2011 version. Although I could be mistaken as I didn't actually buy any. Strongly tempted every time I go in there though

OK, I certainly could have been mistaken, but I didn't see "brandy" anywhere on the label. I'll take another swing through & see what can be seen. Thanks guys.

It looks like the same bottle, it appears to say Brandy on the bottom of the front label. Like before, seems to be the only Cellar Reserve on that website as well. I think this is the winner

This is at Elevated. I just purchased it about 20 minutes ago.

That certainly looks like the same bottle...I picked one up, fondled it, read the label & didn't see 'brandy' on it anywhere. I do remember thinking I should be looking for a bottle like the Old Stock Bourbon, which was wildly different, so maybe my expectations got in the way. Luckily, I have no place to be in a hurry tonight, so I'll be back on the hunt.

Thanks to EJJ1848 & the rest of you for setting me straight, I picked up a bottle on the way home tonight.
