so, a customer just came into the growler place I work at, we've got supplication on right now, and he tasted it and said, "oh, that's old. You shouldn't be serving that!" Then proceeded to be... That guys.

So, I'm wondering, the supplication is from August 2015....granted our lines may not be the cleanest (don't kill the messenger) but, could this really be considered old and deteriorated? Or as he also mentioned, open for to long (1 week)!

If the lines aren't clean, there is your problem.

August 2015 is well within the drinkable age of this beer. Something may have been off, but it likely wasn't due to the kegs age or having been on tap for a week.

They have 2009 Vintages of Supplication being served at RRBC all the time at a higher price. It only gets BETTER with age my friend.

I had one about a month ago with a bottle date of 092414. The cherries did fade a little, but it was still delicious. But like @Sweatshirt mentioned, it's probably the lines that need to be cleaned.

It should age ok, but dirty lines will definately affect the taste and cause it to be considered old.....

If the keg was kept cold there should be very little deterioration, if at all.
