I was looking for more info and saw this on the their website.

"It's a double release! Calico Jack and Carolus Magnus ARE real, and finally ready for for release. The brewery-only event for both beers will be Saturday, October 31st. Yep, Halloween. Sales start at 9am that day.

Both beers are extremely limited. The bottle limit for Calico Jack is 6 per person and for Carolus Magnus it's 12 per person. We don't expect there will be enough left over for distribution!!

What are Calico Jack and Carolus Magnus? Calico Jack is an Imperial Stout aged in rum barrels for 14 months, with a magical combination of coconut, vanilla, cayenne pepper, and coffee beans added. Yes, it is awesome. And Carolus Magnus is a Armagnac barrel-aged Quad with rose hips, figs, and raisins added. Also awesome.

Both will be on tap at the brewery for the release, $5 per pour. And, remember the nice glasses we had for the Omega Point release? We have some new ones for Carolus Magnus that will also be available. Bottles are $20 each. We also invite you to an event at the brewery the Friday night before (10/30), starting at 6pm. Come see our shiny new equipment, our not-so-shiny barrels for aging, here the story of the beers, and maybe try a brew or two.

We'll post more details as they are set. Thanks for all of your support, it's why we make these beers!"

Do their releases go fairly quickly? If I get there at 9, how long should I expect to wait? I'm trying to plan my trip and day.
I definitely want to hang out and grab some drafts too.
    Thanks!

I have plenty of Omega Point myself (I'm on my third case...). Like I said, my wife was able to go to the OP release but we'll both be out of town for Halloween.

-This will only be the second one they've ever held, but if it is like the first, it will be super smooth. The brewery gives them plenty of room so there aren't any pinch points. Line up, pay, get tickets, get bottles, walk out. I was maybe 100-200 or so in line and I was out before lunch, and I went through twice. It may be a tad more complicated due to it being 2 beers with allotments that add up to over a case, but it shouldn't be too bad.

They've only had one other release at the brewery (Omega Point), so tough to say. The general consensus was that Omega Point was a solid release (though I wasn't there).

Omega Point release was super smooth, really in and out. Multiple people selling tickets for allotment and a token and then you walk to the multiple people to pick up your case, stash that back in the vehicle and come into the main brewery to use the token to pick up a pint. Awesome.

I can't wait for this release. Those beers sound so good.

Up front, I love all of the OHB imperial stouts. That being said calico jack may be the best they've ever done, seriously. And that's not a knock on the other beers in the slightest, but a testament to this beer.

Silky smooth and absolutely perfect pepper spice/heat. Vanilla and dark chocolate with a touch of coffee.

    Damn

    Hot velvet.

OP was a crazy smooth release. The bottle share was incredible too. Everything was thought out and a great time was had by all. Here's a shot of one of the trash cans after the OP share the night before the release:

Was the share the night before or the morning of the release?

Is anyone going to the calico jack release that will also be picking up bottles at natty greenes this weekend? I've had to work every one of their releases even though I reserved the bottles online. If anyone wants to proxy I could hook you up with a good bottle of something at the calico jack release for your troubles.
