    BBA (imperial?) brown ale

I'd love to hear some thoughts on it if anyone has tried it yet. I freaking love event horizon, but seven devils was a miss for me..

Edit: Holy cow..is this really the label?

Oh ok, I remember Steven mentioning this a while back. I could see this being pretty damn good. Everything he puts in a barrel is on point imo. Even Euphriotes, which is a bizarre style that I did not think I'd enjoy.
    Anybody taste this stuff yet?

Funny, I was gonna start a thread tonight asking what others thought because there are no reviews yet...

It hit Charlotte on friday and I like it. Its more robust than Seven Devils (which I also like btw) and about what it sounds like...Bourbony, Oaky, Nut Brown...much like seven devils in that it is at its best when cool not cold...thin when compared to BBA Stouts but more like a BBA Peoples Porter as far as thickness goes (maybe a little less malt backbone) This is exactly why I dont write reviews, I suck at it

BTW, The dude in the pic is the Olde Hickory rep for at least the Charlotte area and a BA..

It's very balanced. A couple of BAs opened a bottle at jzmhector's grad party on Sunday. I am not a huge fan of bba beers but this one was great.

Saw this on OH's twitter deal

"Fun fact- Daniel Boone came out of second-use barrels. Originally they housed Event Horizon, with bourbon before that."

8.5% abv. Barrels used were first from 2011 Event Horizon, and are a blend of Maker's Mark & Jim Beam barrels. Useless fact: barrels will be used for a third time to house Lindley Park 2012.

Amazing how this one has thus far largely flown under the BA radar. Released one week ago, no reviews yet.

Also, availability on Daniel Boone is same as Seven Devils was. Felt it should be mentioned, since I know it'll be asked.

Label image is indeed the Charlotte area rep, and a cautionary tale as to why you shouldn't be Facebook friends with your employers. Photoshop happens, y'all.

    Haha, that's great!

Interesting (and indeed useless) to hear about the barrels being used again..
