I thought it was ok but it seemed to lack carbonation and any flavor depth outside of the bourbon barrel aging.I love OH and really support them but not overly impressed with this offering,I know I differ from most.

Im thinking it will get better with a little time...I had a seven devils last night and it was alot different and smoother than it was fresh. I might be becoming an OH homer but I'm digging their premium stuff..

More carbonation would be good, everything else was fine.

That's good to hear about 7. I saved a couple of those with some hopes of a difference in texture and feel.

Picked some up at Bottle Revolution in Raleigh yesterday. Despite being sick I am going to make my way down to Busy Bee and get some on tap so I don't have to open any at home yet.

Olde Hickory flat out kills anything aged in a barrel, they've mastered that... labels, not so much.

Had some Daniel Boone on draft at Busy Bee this evening. I thought that the barrel character was spot on...a fair amount of barrel with a lesser amount of bourbon due to the second gen barrels. I enjoy BA beers that are subtle and complex as opposed to bourbon bombs, and I have to disagree with the one review thus far that's been posted. I don't think that it's bourbon-forward at all; rather, it was a smooth drinking brown ale with a malty sweetness and nice notes of oak, char, and the bourbon underneath it all. Definitely present but not overpowering. The base beer didn't really shine, but I thought that it all worked together nicely.

I drank a second bottle and still found it to be still too bourbon forward,to each their own I guess.

I had it on tap at Ridgewood tonight. It was far better once it warmed up a bit. At draft serving temps, it wasn't that spectacular.

I have to agree...not spectacular...not too bourbony or anything, just wish the base beer had more going for it...seems to get lost....and this is Imperial? Not bad though, I definitely enjoyed it, and could drink this again, Hoping the bottle format will be better.

Well, that's a different animal than what they usually uncage... though I did enjoy it.

Too flat IMO, nice Bourbon, has depth, needs a little more carbonation.

Hadn't even heard of this beer until a few days ago but a fellow BA is bringing me some to GA from NC on Thursday. Can't wait to try it now.

This one is a lot better when it warms up for me. I think this is one to drink one now and put another away to cellar for a while. Oh, and check out that American flag bottle cap!

Had my first bottle today with some friends. I found the flavor profile to be very similar to wyerbacher insanity..with a little less uumph. I really enjoyed it.
