Oliphant Brewing coming to MN

Apparently you are unfamiliar with their beer Hans Macgruber.

 

Dear god....... they actually did. Except for the "mac" part. Well..... son of a bitch then. I'll take a timeout in the corner.

I still stand by my original statement though.

Their odd beer names make a lot more sense when you see them alongside the excellent illustrations on their taproom chalkboard.

 

hey all -- spetlem from Oliphant here.

- we're happy to be the first brewery to self-distribute in Minnesota and we hope to see many more jumping state lines to be able to participate in beer festivals and to sell beers to purveyors. We are able to do so because of the dormant commerce clause which states in one way or another that a state cannot give advantage to in-state business that it denies to out of state business. no lawsuit, no courts, just a talking with the MN government and coming to the same conclusion. Worked out well.

- to anyone curious as to styles of beer they are printed on the label under the names. We try to do our best to work with the TTB to make sure we get the right descriptor for the style.

- we have both Hans MacGruber and Nakatomi Night Moves (of which the latter will be on tap shorty). I look forward to serving you a beer HammsMeASAP.

All in all, we're happy to brew beer and be able to sell it ourselves. If you have any questions we're tethered to our emails and are happy to respond. Happy drinking, gobble gobble!
