I bought another 6 pack, for scientific purposes, and I didn't notice immediately that the 95% Malt at the bottom of the "label" had been replaced by All Natural. It seems to taste the same, quite good, but is it no longer 95% Malt? Was it false advertising to begin with or has Pabst dummied it down? Anyone here in.the.know?

I had posted about this as well about a month ago, as i buy Olympia 12 pks every so often. I did find the below statement from the original labeling from last summer. Not sure why they omit it from the cans now though. Still tasted allright to me.

'From my contacts in the brewing industry, the new Olympia beer packaging indicating "95% Malt" is only a marketing tactic as an attempt to attract the craft beer consumers. That is all. It is still the same hybrid barley/corn/adjunct (with less than 5% sweeteners) malt recipe as used in the past, except it sports a new packaging design with the new "malt" statement in the label'

Thanks, buddy, I know I've traded with you before but I don't have my notepad handy or else I'd say thank you using your name.

I beg to differ with what the guy quoted says; the Olympia, before the 95% Malt came out, was not as full of flavour and looked dreadfully pale compared to the Olympia in the orange colour dominated can and I drank a lot of the older version both here(in Casper) and in California.

I havent traded in years, but i believe you are right!

i would agree the 'new' Oly is an improved product over the old silver cans of the past. I can grab a 12pk in MN for about 7 bucks, although its pretty tough to find.

Ha! You traded me a bottle of Darkness in 2009, Travis.
