Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, one of our favorite Bavarian-style producers, is making a a change that will be seen in local markets this week. 12oz 6-packs and 12-packs!
I always thought the 3-pack 22 oz bottles a novel idea, but not really practical from me. I applaud OMB listening to their customers and making this switch.

    Cheers!

These hit shelves in south CLT last week. I for one am excited. Hated the 22oz format for a beer I can find on draft everywhere around town. Picked up a 6'er of Fruh Bock and thoroughly enjoyed the 12oz version on my deck enjoying the great spring weather we are having. I think their sales will go up a lot with the new format. I think a lot of fringe craft drinkers get "intimidated" by the bombers.

Agreed. Not sure why they continued the 22 oz for so long. Must've been an investment issue - bottling lines aren't cheap to switch.
