Has anyone used this in the secondary. I am currently kettle souring a golden ale with omega lacto blend and than going to boil and pitch wlp570. After primary and I am going to pitch omega all the Bretts. I want to know what's the time frame and experiences?

I intend to try this when it gets warmer. Secondary time should be similar to other brett beers. 3-6 months. If you email Omega, they can give you a more informed answer. Ask them how many cells they are providing. You might be able to save and propagate half the pack.

Thanks. I want to say the website stated 60 billion cells per package. This blend has upwards on 12 different Brett strains. Would be awesome to drink by summer

The Omega website makes no reference to cell count specifically for this blend. Their brett and sacc blends contain 150B. Not sure about this brett blend.

If they have 60B, you could still use half and propagate half.

Betty, have you used c2c farmhouse yeast?

No Sir. I intend to use it this summer. Sounds like a winner.

I pitched a pack into a 5 gallon test batch of wee heavy about three months ago. I added 7lbs rhubarb and 7lbs strawberries with the pack . SG 1.088. gravity was 1.030 when I pitched the brett. I took a reading yesterday, 1.008!

I added another 2.5lbs each of strawberries and rhubarb. The brett is chewing away pretty strongly. I let the scottish ale yeast flocc out before racking so I'm confident most of the activity has been from the bretts. Smells and tastes great, rich brett charachter but not overly funky. Very balanced brett overall.

It's also surprisingly smooth for being over 11%abv...also sat in a third use whiskey barrel for 5 months. Fuck yeah hoss.
