Anybody used this yeast yet? I'm trying to learn a little bit more about it before I use it and was just looking for any background info on the strain. What did you think about it if you've used it? I assume its a Sacc and I can use it with my clean gear, but didn't want to use it with my clean gear if it infects. http://www.omegayeast.com/portfolio/14158-2/

    Thanks!

I'm sure it's very similar to Sigmund's voss kviek, which I've been wanting to try out for a while now but haven't gotten around to it. I think @scurvy311 has used that strain. I'm intrigued by a yeast that does so well at 95F temps for some reason. Maybe cuz it's easier to control than a swamp cooler. My assumption would be that you can use your clean gear with it and you would be fine.

Northern Brewer very recently sent an email that had an interview with the Omega owner and they touched on that yeast. If you do not get their emails, I can forward it to you. It's also probably on NB's website somewhere.

Not sure about HotHead but I've been using Voss Kviek for almost six months and I love it. It ferments clean and reliably at room temp (76*F here in FL). In the 90's it produces a slightly bitter citrus note that is nice in hoppier styles. It is a regular Sacc strain so no worries about contamination.
The history is pretty cool and Lars provides a significant rabbit hole to fall down if you're interested in those things.

It's a great strain to work with and is flavor consistent across the temperature spectrum.
Had tasters of it fermented at both sides of its temp range, and no noticeable difference.
I have used it several times since it came out. Last time I used it for a 1042 og smoked session pale using cherrywood smoked malt with huel melon, el dorado, and galena hops and was drinking it two weeks from mash tun to fully bottle carbed. In three weeks it was hitting a nice flavor stride, and the yeast played very well with everyone involved and gave me a beautifully clean easy drinker. I pitched in the mid 90's and it took them a few hours to start to rumble, and finished primary in 2-3 days.
