    so a local store had the 2011,2010&2009 vintages on the shelf all at the same price. i figured i would split it and get a slightly aged 2010. i get the bottle and on the way to my friends house the bag it is in breaks and it drops and breaks too. i go back and now there is only 2011&2009. will the 09 still be good sitting on the shelf for that long? it was always an the back corner of the store away from the sun.

    i got a few 2011. i would buy that 2009 in a heartbeat.

    Bought a single 2009 off the shelf a few weeks ago and well...I went back and got the last 4 pack of the 2009. Absolutly fantastic at this point with no signs of falling off yet.

    On a sidenote, sometimes small shops that don't move a ton of craft beers have some gems. I also picked up some North Coast Old Stock 2011, and a Brewdog Smokehead for $3. Never pass up a bottle shop!

    the best i got at a bottle ahop was $9 for bombers of yeti old ruffian south hampton and left hand. did i say $9 bombers? no i ment 3 for $9. older stock but they were all aged well and delicious.

    i haven't had the 2011 yet, but i've had all of them back to 06. i've always found 08 to be amazing, but haven't had one in a while. 09 was always off and 10 was great as well. the older ones are good as well, but get kind of syrupy.

    ommegang is my personal whale. i always see it and i have it ready to check out but i always put it back. the one time i do go to buy it i break a nice '10 vintage.its not a white whale.bc i can get it readily but more of a humpback, theyre much more common but you still dont get them often.

    An off-the-shelf 2008 I had about 9 months ago was fantastic, I'd snap up that 2009 with no hesitation.

    The '09 should still be good. Why not get all of them and get a nice vertical going?!
