So I have an extra bottle of Iron Throne from the GOT series. I'm looking at trading it to an interested party but how does one put a dollar amount on an aged brew of this kind (blond ale)? Does it have any more value than what I paid for it a year ago? Is the value only what I can get offers for? I've been trading for over a year but this one has me puzzled. Looking for any advice. Can't recall having seen anyone looking for this beer then or now, maybe one time as a gift for a friend. It's worth exactly what you paid for it if you can find someone who wants it.
I agree. I blame part of the rather underwhelming flavor (to us), to the fact that they're really making these beers to appeal to a broader crowd that's more interested in the bottle/series than the beer itself. It's unfortunate because Ommegang knows how to make some really good beer and these all have been way below their level.
