I think because it was a brand new fruited beer, super limited and peaches. Really I think that was it.

And the super advance notice allowed more out of town people to plan and make the trip for it. Announced August 25th, released Sept. 12th. Almost three weeks. Compare with the 3-4 day advance notice of Aurelian Lure and O&P. That's the difference I think, but I guess we'll see when the new blueberry sour is released...

Id like to say that mentioning it so far ahead was an issue, but if it was an issue then Aurelian and O&P would have not lasted so long. I mean, Dallas and Houston knew how much Aurelian was left over but somehow it almost made it a month. Arguably its the better sour anyway.

I think that people knew that it was a new fruited sour and it was a small bottle count and then a certain few thought about the whalez they could land with them and decided to hoard.

True...Aurelian is by far a better beer IMHO than Fen Tao

I'm guessing both GABF and ACL reduced the crowds as well.

I know of several folks that hit up Jk this weekend and the weekend before because they were actually here for ACL.

ME ME ME !!! and I brought 3 friends who had to fly out and didn't want to check bags! what a score.... finally! I drove out and got to have a glass of O&P (for the first time) while they all had 2 or 3, and then I got all the bottles of AL and O&P... sexy results! I have been missing all there sours so much since they stopped distributing a lot of their product to Houston.

I must say though - what a beautiful location and setup JK has out there. This is the first time I've had the opportunity to visit due to various time and family constraints (I live in Houston)... I was lucky I had friends coming in from Canada who are huge sour beer fans, so it was easy to schedule JK as a stop on their itinerary, even though it was a very short weekend. Even with the cold temps this past saturday the location was gorgeous (I am guessing the weather/temps probably made the crowd a lot smaller and the whole experience more enjoyable). I can't wait to go back again - which given my current track record will take another 3 years... lol...

kudos to JK and stanley's for the amazing environment they have out there. they have done an amazing job with the whole setup. hopefully i'll get to go back soon...

It will last until the next batch one fruited sour release. Then, the hoards will come for that, and it will be gone with it.

    So, not long.

Anyone know how much those coaster 4 packs are? I picked up 2 sets for a buddy but don't have my receipt and the price isn't listed on the website.
