heyyyy what a good idea. never thought of calling them on the phone.

i'll take a quick look through the forums and share your brainstorm with all the other dimwits like me checking with likeminded BAs for info on what may be on tap, on deck, or otherwise interesting at brewery tasting rooms / brewpubs !

i'm sure they'll be as excited as me !

Uhm, DoubleNickels is correct. It is a lot quicker to call or check their FB page than asking a BA to type it all out for you. Or even easier, you could do a Google search and see they even have a web page! http://www.darkhorsebrewery.com/our-beer/whats-on-tap/

When I have gone to dark horse on non special event days, I have found they generally have nothing special on tap. It has been mostly stuff available in the stores. They probably have lots of bottles of fruit sours available though.

The tap list from a week and half ago seems like the tap list most of the time. They don't typically roll out tons of rarities.[IMG]

I'll be there Firday as well. anyone know what the VIP lounge is all about? the website says they have BBL Plead the 5th on tap, I'd love to have a few snifters of that if possible

I stopped at the VIP lounge this summer. You pay $7, get a tour, a grass, and six 2 oz samples in VIP lounge. They do not advertise what is in the VIP lounge so it is luck of the draw. I was kinda pissed because BBPt5 was listed when we got there, but the tap was empty. BBpt5 is a unicorn, that I always seem to miss out on. So I got 2 samples of Bourbon Homo Sapien. It is only on Saturday, so I would say it is worth it to try some of the more obscure things.

I did the vip tour a couple weeks ago- definitely worth the 7 bucks. You get a cool pint glass with the darkhorse logo, and a quick tour of the facility. I was lucky enough to have bbpt5 on tap in the vip room along with double crooked tree. I tipped the guy a couple bucks and he gave me another small draft of bbpt5- by far one of the top 3 beers I have ever had. Better than KBS imo.....

They offer me any grass last time I was there. Stingy bums.

Plead the Fifth was delicious on tap an hour ago. And they still have some at their shop!

How much is one grass? If a brewery was going to hand out grass I'm pretty sure dark horse would be the ones to do it

Bourbon homo sapien is far more difficult to come by than bbpt5 and a better beer in my opinion so you were lucky to try it. That said if bbpt5 is your unicorn, send me a bm.

Uhm, not to beat a dead horse here, but I made it to the brewery, just grabbed a seat and for the record, the website tap list was not accurate.

    Just sayin.

good beer, all the same, and interesting bottles in the general store too.

The beers at dark horse are fantastic, it's too bad our waitress is a demon. She's really ruining out experience.
