My worry would be it is too ambitious. I would pair it down so you can enjoy your stops as opposed to the real possibility that you are just ticking things.

Man I am going to have to rent an RV and plan a trip like this. Maybe fly up north, rent RV. Arrange with each brewery the right to park in their parking lot over night..... Having a good time, spend the day, if not, move on down the road to the next.

Looks like an amazing time. I did a trip recently that hit 4 or 5 of those spots. My advice would be:

    1. Create a detailed itinerary before you head out that day i.e. What times do places open and get a sense of how lines are and as one person pointed out, things like Festivals can make a short stop turn into a multi-hour delay
    2. Make sure you have plenty of cooler space/ice for things that need to stay cold (if you are buying any for later consumption)
    3. Stock up on Heady, Fiddlehead and Lawson's and then email me and we can trade

Pub crawls are a big thing for my wife and I, and we are both retired, so we have the time to do it. A three week driving trip last year from Michigan to N. California and up to Portland and then back home in three weeks saw us hit 41 breweries. It was a very enjoyable trip, to say the least, when Russian River, Pelican Pub, and many of the great places in Portland and Bend are on the list.

A month later, we took a 8 days to drive to Boston (stopping at breweries along the way and in the Boston area) and then hit some of the Vermont breweries on the trip home for 'only' 11 pub stops on that trip.

I highly recommend vacations like this when children are not part of your travel 'obligations.'

I did a similar trip fairly recently going from Syracuse, NY to Denver, CO. Stopped at Great Lakes, Fatheads, Brewkettle, Three Floyd's, Court Avenue, Odell's, and Funkwerks. Those are all worth stopping at and there were about 10 other breweries which I wanted to stop at if I had time, but I couldn't fit them in or I had visited them before and figured it would be better to try something new.

First trip to VT was similar although early in my craft career we hit otter creek, drop in, fiddlehead, magic hat, zero gravity, Vermont pub and brewery, pro pig, reservoir, blackback, alchemist, and rock art in 2 days. Remember hearing about some hill place up in Greensboro and said "screw that drive in the dead of winter!" little did i know...

If you go to Pro Pig they usually have some HF on tap. Also, there is a great beer store on the side street right next to it. If you have a chance, Winooski Beverage in Winooski (right outside of Burlington) is stellar and only about 25 minutes away from Pro Pig. You could drop the family off in downtown Burlington to do some shopping and you can run to Winooski

Headed to Ithaca, NY tonight. Along Cayuga and Seneca lakes. Hit 12 breweries last year there and on way home. Lots of flights had that weekend.

Right now my planned beer stops include Four Mile Brewing in Olean, Southern Tier, Great Lakes [maybe], Three Floyds, at least 2 Binny's in the Chicago area [for everything else in the area I can't visit] New Glarus, Toppling Goliath and a store in W. Minnesota [for some Surly beers]. Non-beer stops include the Rock and Roll Hall in Cleveland, Badlands & Mt. Rushmore. I may stop in either Ft. Collins, Longmont or Loveland on the way down but I know I can hit those later. And since I'm in no rush, I'm sure I'll see more places to stop before the trip [in approx. 2 weeks] or while out on the road. And oh yeah, since it's summer I'm bringing two large coolers [with ice to be added judiciously] to hopefully keep the beer from exploding while in the car.

i love these sorts of trips but i would prefer to do that trip but do it over a couple days so i can drink beer and enjoy the beers at the breweries...after 3 spots or so i usually cant taste anything...and i dont drink enough volume to justify buying a bunch of cans/bottles/growlers...it would take me too long to get through all of it. looking forward to hearing how it goes....

ive been to almost all of the places on your current trip so if you dont mind me making a suggestion...i would say skip Zero Gravity and Magic Hat and add The Reservoir in Waterbury (one of the few places you can get HT on tap and when i went they had Abner, HT, and Sip of Sunshine all on tap) and Farmhouse Tap & Grill in Burlington.

Since you're going through Hinesburg, you can add Frost Beer Works to your itinerary.

I hope you have a driver, because I could barely do HF + Positive Pie
All those places are pretty damn awesome. I did them over several days though.

I've done that type of crawl from NY before.

Leave at about 5 am then hit Warren (Lawson's), Montpelier/Waterbury stores for Heady, etc., then Hill Farmstead, then Treehouse and other stores in MA, then New England and other stores in CT, then home. About 15-16 hours in total. Good times.

I once did a lawsons, heady, 14th star trip that was pretty elaborate. Covered a lot of ground. Not to mention it was amongst two days on the slopes. I may be a prude, but Im finding those trips of mine to be a little rediculous in retrospect. Dont get me wrong. The beers are incredible. But finding alternative means of acqusition and other friends/family to amass them for me is almost more fun of a chase for me.
