First time in San Francisco and first time in California, ever. Where should I go? Planning on Cellarmaker for sure. Is Mikeller bar worth the stop? Anywhere else I MUST hit? Anything non beer related is welcome too...food, places to see, fun stuff etc I’m going all around California so probably only going to be there for 1 day. Thanks
Mikkeller is not a must hit unless you wanna pay close to a dollar per ounce of beer. Craftyfox has a better taplist, but it's also close to a dollar per ounce of beer. Bartlett Hall is a must hit.
If you're looking at prices Toronado is probably the best place to try the best of the Bay and beyond
skip Mikkeller and head to Toronado instead - though try to make it a non weekend night. The locals pretty much claim the place.
If you’re going to Cellarmaker you owe it to yourself to go to City Beer store. Bottles/cans/groovy taps. Less than a 5 minute walk. Giggity!

Thanks[/QUOTE] San Francisco Museum of Modern Art a worthy stop. Here's a 3 mile walk. See the city. Toronado. Bucket list. Start walking E/NE Cellarmaker and City Beer Store. Walk NE to SFMOMA Walk N/NW to Cable Car Museum. It's free and very cool. Actually see the cables running. Keep walking N to Capo's Pizza. Best pizza of your life. No hyperbole. (Mikkeller would also be near this path)
Haven't had Capo's, but at least you didn't say Tony's Pizza Napoletana. I didn't think it was special.
I went to Tony's once, it was amazing. Their meatball was the out of this world. Maybe not the best pizza ever but really good!
Capo’s is also owned by Tony Gemignani, so if you didn’t like Tony’s, probably won’t like Capo’s any better (though the ambience is different).
