Is there a site out there that has the water chemistry for particular beer styles?

In the recipe I am brewing up Saturday the water chemistry was in the recipe so it was easy for me to dial in. I was thinking how useful it would be if I had the water chemistry for all or most beer styles.

You can find the water profiles for most famous brewing cities online. The problem with that is you don't have a clue as to what the brewers do with the water before they brew. Munich water is good for dark beers, but they brew a lot of Helles these days by reducing the alkalinity.

Brunwater has a drop down menu of water that you can select based on beer category. Yellow bitter, dark malty type of selctions. That is a good place to start.

I've used a harder water profile for most of my dark beers. They come out great. I've used soft water for them too, and they still come out good. You're on the good side of the fence here Junck. A quick google search per style that you want to brew should yield good results.
