Visiting SA for 1 night in November. Staying out by Sea World. I'll only have a few hours after work but thinking about visiting:
    1. Freetail Brewing
    2. Blue Star Brewing
    3. The Hoppy Monk
    4. The Cove
Anything else I should consider? I've focused on N/NW SA since its closest to my hotel but am open to try other places. I'm mostly interested in trying local TX beers and stuff we can't get in NYC.

Also, how is uber in SA? Any concerns relying on them to get me around these spots?

    Thanks!

Do you know what night of the week? Uber has been fine.

I've been to all, and If I only had a few hours, I would hit Freetail on 1604. They will have guest beers as well as their own and growlers to go. Decent food also.

Shameless plug: Big Hops Huebner on the NW side is a great spot to grab some craft beers.

Your list is pretty good (though I'd skip Blue Star personally), but kinda spread out. Don't underestimate the size of SA. Hoppy Monk and Freetail (either one) are definitely worth a visit, and easy to do in one trip if you go to the 1604 Freetail Brewpub location. There's also a cool new pub called Hops & Vines that has a great selection and wouldn't be terribly far from where you'll be staying.

I've never used Uber myself, but I haven't heard many complaints about it.

Agree on Big Hops Huebner and then you could hit up Flying Saucer across the street to see what they have.

Thank you for the info! Will be a Monday or Tuesday night... not 100% sure which yet

Good point about the size of SA. Freetail seems like an easy choice especially since they have guest taps. I'll guess I'll start out there and refer back to this thread if I want to head elsewhere. Hop & Vine is a good suggestion - only a few miles from my hotel. Thanks!

Avoid Blue Star. You can hit Freetail, Big Hops Huebner and Flying Saucer fairly easily.
