One Night in Tampa?

    Ok this thread has been done a million times but hey I'm lazy and it's Thursday and I've had 3 Jai Alai's so shoot me.

    My boss just told me he is sending me to Tampa on Monday on some business but only for one night. I live in south Florida but have never made the trip over to Tampa (yes, I know its blasphemy ,etc. etc.) So what do I definitely need to do for my one night there.

    Definitely want to hit the CCB brewpub and Cycle if possible. Is that my best course of action and is there anything else I need to be doing?

    Lots of people also recommend RAPP which is near CYCLE. I'll be hitting both for the first time this weekend

    Definitely CCB, Rapp is about 15/20 minutes away from them. If you're close the St Pete area there is Cycle, 3 Daughters and Green Bench, if you are near the Ybor area go to Tampa Bay Brewing they have a great selection and even better food.

    The Sweetbay on Dale Mabry has an olive bar, and there is a Gamestop like two doors down!

    Annnnnyways yeah I'd hit the brewpub and the reg. brewery for sure. Maybe W.O.B. In soho?

    After hitting CCB if you want to hop over the howard franklin you have rapp, pair 'o dice, and barley mow all really close together.

    CCB. Rapp. Eat at Cajun Cafe, it's only 10 minutes from Rapp. (Never been to the brewpub. I know, I know...)

    I know I can get bottles and growlers from CCB does Rapp do growlers too?

    Any bottle shops worth hitting that may have stuff I can't get on the east coast?

    If you are staying Monday night hopefully you can hang around and grab the CCB Tuesday growler when they fill it at noon.

    Yep except its at noon and its a surprise up until a few minutes before they start filling. There have been some incredible Tuesday growlers including Penultimate Push, Gates of Hell and Life is Like. The BA fills are rare but you never know what it will be. Most are one offs that you may never get to try otherwise.

    And even the one offs are solid most of the time, so it's worth it if you can get there. With our installment ending on the 27th, I'm considering making the trip on the 25th on the off chance they pull out one last great growler option for us...

    (Is anyone now stuck with the song "One Night in Bangkok" in their head, only with "One Night in Tampa"? ...anyone?)

    Best news I've gotten all day. Will definitely not be leaving until after noon then, hoping to grab some Lacto Guava while I'm there too!
