Ramirez had low stock when I got there around noon. Guy tried to limit me to 1 bottle...

Just letting people know what to expect. It's not mentioned on their social media post.

Just the tone (be it carried through text) sounded like you were disappointed about them bringing you down by only limiting it to 1.

I don't mind that. Ramirez happens to be my local shop by just a 4 minute drive in traffic and by the time I had free to head on down, they updated their post saying they were all gone.

If it serves to spread the good beer wealth to as many possible, I got no problem in them doing that.

2M liquor also has them. About a three mile drive from Ramirez.

Thanks for the heads up. Just cleared them out...

J/k Picked up a bottle and a bottle of that 3F/NB beer. Solid little bottle shop - even if I had to drive through Vernon and it's strange smells for it. Even went to Freight Harbor and picked up a $5 machete for a bottle opener. Oh, South L.A. you so cray cray.

I got there around 11am (yesterday) and they sold me 4. I don't think they expected this to sell so fast.

The one report I heard was very negative. I'm curious to hear more.

I think it's a fine beer, but I remember liking the first one more.

I thought it was good not great. Somewhere around a 3.6 overall. I don't know if its the experimental hop 05256 or the Hallertau Blanc, but I got lots of onion notes in the aroma and taste. While they definitely nailed some the defining characteristics of a Nelson heavy beer, for me it was the wrong/less desirable characteristics.

Its kinda meh....preferred the draft version. This kind of falls flat. I like what the 05256 contributes, but this hallertauer blanc is just a super mild nelson.

For anyone still looking, K&L's inventory system says they have 5 left at the Hollywood location. No limits.
