Placed my first order with France 44 yesterday morning. It was shipped by yesterday afternoon. Cant wait for my first Surly experience! Beeronthewall.com was also very quick and extremely reasonable with their shipping. A good but not huge selection however.
Northwest Liquid Gold, France44, and BeerShip are the ones I've used and I've been satisfied every time.
France44 has alright selection but they charge mad cash for shipping. I remember reading somewhere on a thread that there is an online store that doesnt charge shipping if you spend 100 dollars or more. can anyone confirm this? sounds too good to be true.
I believe that is Half Time Beverages. I ordered 8 bottles recently and when I got the box, in quick time, I found only 6 bottles in it. I contacted them and they said they were out of that beer and they'd issue a credit to my credit card. It does make me wonder though that if I had not said anything, would they have done it on their own?
Same thing happened to me. Refunded my card. Funny how they don't communicate that shit to you at all, though.
So does this mean if i spend 100 dollars and they are out of one of the beers ill get charged shipping seeing is ill get a refund for the out of stock beer. the total spent would drop below 100 dollars. is this what happened to you?
Nah, I only ordered $43 worth of beer. Your hypothetical *would* worry me though I don't have a clue as how they would handle it. Maybe they'd contact you, with such a big order, and offer available to them substitutes?
I ordered and am getting 4 750ml bottles that packaged, weigh 15lbs. Shipping cost is $15.06, via UPS. Not so expensive, imho.
Super common with Halftime. Happened to me both times I ordered from them. They're notorious for having incorrect stock counts. The worst part is they could be out of stock on the 2 bottles you really wanted and will just ship you the order fillers anyway without telling you. Basically I wouldn't bother with them on limited releases, as I think their web site isn't updated fast enough for their store stock or something.
I'm glad I read this before I went too crazy ordering from either of them. I'm still trying to drink my local liqour store out of stock though....it'll b a while before I need to worry too much about going online
