    Altbier and Bière de Garde (or Saison)

    They pretty much sum up what I like most about beer.

    I'll cheat and make up a second combination: English Bitter and Schwartzbier

    Just to throw it out there, "sours" isn't really a style.. I think it's more of a vague new term that's been incorporated as a result of the introduction of using "wild" yeast strains in American brewing. But then again another guy said ales and lagers so if vagueness is acceptable:

    I like light beer and dark beer.

    Well I had an American Wild Ale and BA Scotch Ale tonight, and you're right I do feel better haha!

    Based on frequency of what I drink, IPA and Stout, but I love so many other styles it's impossible to limit to two.

    Yes. Technically you are correct. Most the time I just don't feel the need to waste my time putting on display my uber high beer intellect. It comes off extremely pretentious.
