Hey all, looking to build a commercial grain mill and am trying to source an easy, cheap, food grade, conical container that I can use for the mill hopper. The largest stainless versions I've seen only hold around 2/3 of a full grain bag and thought a 30 gallon inductor tank would work even better. Any other ideas or recommendations?
What about a plastic conical from Ace Rotomold? They are made of thick food grade plastic and are extremely cheap. You can get them in a lot of different sizes too.
Inductor tanks, exactly what I was thinking. I was hoping for something completely open on the top, but I could always cut it if the opening isn't large enough for malt. Thanks man!
Awesome. They are really easy to retrofit. We use them all over my small brewery. Great for holding chemicals and stuff and they hold up well to everything we've put them through. See if there is a dealer for them in your town. We have one in Spokane, and it saves a lot on shipping. Here's a link for a good place to order online if not: http://www.plastic-mart.com/category/19/cone-bottom-tanks
