Taking possession of my house, finally... Thinking of having an open house bottle share. Any thoughts on this? More of a higher end type bottle share. A kind of, finally legitimately landed permanently... I'll need to see what survived the move first to dig, but wanted to gauge interest. I would have to limit, unfortunately, as the house isn't HUGE. LOL.
Higher end sounds delicious. I am interested and hopefully the timing works. I suppose you will need a few weeks to get settled.
Sounds like a great idea. Not sure how high end though as I don't have super rare stuff but I'll bring what I can. The 5th would work for me. congrats on the house!
I'm down, assuming you moved into a house that's reasonably accessible to SE via transit. Weekdays after 5 and any time on Sunday is usually best for me. I'm not sure what you mean by high end, but I have a bunch of fun stuff from some recent trades that I could bring.
Lol, yeah... House is in Woodstock. No train yet. But buses run. I was thinking of opening, Abraxas Coffee abraxas Some cantillon Persica blend 2 cs batch 60 Other crap from my cellar that I will finally have back.
If it ends up being on a day I can attend, I can pull out a bottle of Hill Farmstead Madness & Civilization Batch #1 and some other cellar goodies.
So.. Interest is up a bit. It would be next Saturday. First one in April... If more interest is generated. If nit, no worries.
Early April won't work for me due to an upcoming new family addition. I would enjoy meeting up in the not so distant future to share some beers.
Digging thru the cellar for thing that i would be ok with sharing early on... Yelp if interested in something... 2013 black note Kopi speedway 2002 or 2004 chimay white 1985 westmalle tripel 2010 zhukovs 2008 bourbon county 2010 laurelwood framboise Surly syx Cs black raspberry Other cs stuff Any de Struise save dirty horse and the super rares And a ton of other cellar stuff I can't remember...
By the way Seth, your inbox is full. I was going to send you a message to welcome you to the neighborhood. I live in Woodstock as well. Cheers! Rob
I might be able to make it on Saturday, won't know until closer to the weekend though (I know this doesn't help much)
Pretty much the same here. I am going to the Blazers game the night before. And I am not sure how late I will be out. But if I am feeling alive enough I would be down to hang. I don't live very far at all. I am in Sellwood.
Oh hey, I'll be at that Blazer game as well (300-level). Then supposedly doing some off-roading with a friend on Saturday but I can totally see that falling through.
Yeah, sorry about the inbox, and lack of replies. took possession of the house this weekend and things have been nuts. the rest of my crap is being delivered friday, it was supposed to be here a bit sooner. saturday will be an absolute wreck here, so i will have to postpone it for the next time my brother is in town. if you do happen to drive by and see a bunch of orange boxes in the street saturday, feel free to drop in for a beer though. ill still be opening some stuff here and there with family, and new friends that might stop by.
Looks like the more we move in... Friday and Saturday... We will always have something amazing opening. Carry a box in, get free Beer. :-) if you're bored Friday... Send me a bm. We may extend to Saturday too.
