How/Where do I change this setting?

eg. When i click on a thread that ive never read it goes to the last post of the thread, not the first post of the thread. Sure its an easy fix, but im lost.

    Thanks

I believe it depends on whether you click on a thread from the main forums page or from within an individual forum. The main page only shows the most recent post within each forum, so clicking on it takes you directly to that one post.

If you're inside, say, your regional forum, then clicking on a thread (on the left side of the page) takes you to the first unread post.

edit - I do wish that clicking on the "most recent post" from the main page took you to the first unread post for that thread. It can be annoying, especially if you previously read the thread when it was 2 pages long, but then click on the most recent post once it's grown to 5. When you try to navigate back to where you were, everything on pages 3 and 4 will be marked as "read" and you won't be able easily to find the last post you actually did read.

If you open a thread for the first time, buy clicking the title of the thread, it opens the first page of the thread and starts with the first post. Each time you click it thereafter it'll open and take you to the first unread post; assuming there's new posts.

This is the default. There's no settings to adjust. And it works this way for all threads, no matter where you access them from.

On the iPhone, it automatically goes to the last post in the thread, even if it has not been read.

If you are inside a forum (staring at the list of threads) you can click on the date/time underneath the thread title to get to the first post.

    Blue dot - Last unread
    Thread title - Last unread
Date/Time underneath thread title- First post
Date/Time underneath last poster - Last post

Just tested on mine. Works exactly as it should.

This isn't true for me (and sounds like everyone else). I just clicked on this thread from the main page http://beeradvocate.com/community/ and it went right to your last post instead of the first post of the thread. I've never opened/read this thread before, either.

Everyone: If you click on a thread from the main forum page, it means you're clicking on the "Latest" reply to that thread. This is how it's supposed to work.

If you click on a thread from any of the forum lists (example: http://beeradvocate.com/community/forums/beer-talk.39/) the threads will open as I previously posted.

I'm closing this one down as there's no issue here.
