    Schlafly
    Big Boss Harvest Time
    Terrapin Pumpkinfest
    DFH Punkin'
    Uinta Punk'n

My 5 faves this year. Big Boss is my favorite pumpkin beer, overall. Had Schlafly for the first time this year, very impressed.

No question Pumking is the king of pumpkin beers. Behind it is Smuttynose Pumpkin and DH Punkin. Have yet to find any others even near these three. Weyerbacher Imperial is OK. Shipyards Smashed Pumpkin is terrible as is Saranac Pumpkin Ale. Wish I could get my hands on a Schlafly's. I have yet to try it but it sounds great by others who have weighed in.

I haven't really enjoyed many pumpkin beers coming from the bigger names, but I did really like Dogfish Head's Punkin.

Anybody have any suggestions on some of the best pumpkin beers that I may be able to find in Southern California? Would love to try one.

The pumpkin beer season is nothing more then a waste of time to me before the best time of year starts, stouts, porters and Xmas ales

Completely agree that Pumking should be towards the top of the list, but in my opinion Epic Brewing's Imperial Pumpkin Porter beats it out for the top spot. You get everything that makes Pumking a great pumpkin beer, but with a non-traditional porter flavor profile.

I hate pumpkin pie but I like a good pumpkin ale. Now if they could make pecan pie into an ale than I will ditch pumpkin ale like a bad habit.

I am not a huge pumpkin beer fan but admittedly we get very few of those that seem to be the favorites down here in DFW.

I had BJ's pumpkin beer this last weekend. It was fine. I didn't love it but it wasn't bad. I'm not a huge fan of the pumpkin beers.

I did score a bottle of pumpkinator but more importantly I got to enjoy some on cask last Tuesday. It is far and away my favorite pumpkin beer, especially on cask.

Tastes A LOT like a lower ABV Schlafly. Really nice beer.

Had my first ever Pumpkin beer last night: DFH Punkin Ale
I was very skeptical, but this must have been the perfect one to start out on, because I thought it was really subtle on the spices. I really enjoyed it and would love to re-visit the style.

As with most people here, I'm not a huge Pumpkin in beer proponent. Having said that, Rock Art's Pumpkin Imperial Spruce Stout and Sam Adams Fat Jack are very drinkable imo. The color of Fat Jack alone is very appealing. A nice brew with good, but not overwhelming, pumpkin flavor. Rock Art's offering has a very subdued pumpkin taste and a lovely balance overall. The spruce tips brewed in add a nice bitter foil to the overall profile.

Haven't had one I've really liked enough to get again. Pumking was the closest for me, but the artificial tasting graham cracker taste was really off-putting. I loved the tons of sweetness and thick mouthfeel though. Schlafly was the closest on taste, but I would've liked it to be a bit sweeter and have a little less booze taste and a richer/thicker mouthfeel.
