Four people called trying to purchase bottles over the phone today in the 10 minutes I was there. Jeff said they took some barrels to some other brewers around the state so there should be some other varieties coming.

 

I can confirm this.

There are some other shops doing this. Excited to see what comes of it.

This stuff is absolutely amazing. I went to college in Saginaw, so I had some of the old homies pick up 12 bottles for me.

 

It's overrated... all aboard the hype train!!! Chooo Chooo!

 

Anyone who's actually posted ISO's getting any responses? Aside from those giving up their first born child?

 

Jeff is an awesome guy that has been doing a lot for wine and craft beer in the Tri-Cities for a while. First and foremost, he is a wine and spirits expert, but he has been going heavy into craft beer for the past two years or so. He deserves credit for working with a reputable brewer this time, and hopefully this current release makes everyone forget about the waste of beer/money/barrel on the first batch they did with Midland Brewing. I am not sure that they knew what kind of marketing bump this was going to be, but congratulations to them for launching themselves onto the Michigan scene with this amount of buzz. This really couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

 

Does anyone know if Opperman's actually makes their own bourbon/wine?

 

So it's manufactured by someone else and sold under their name?
