For a variety of reasons I'm finding it difficult to fit a commercial kegerator like True or Bev Air in my home bar. The best place is next to a sink, which would require the kegerator to be undermounted. All these commercial ones are around 29 inches deep, which would stick out and leave me no wiggle room. Please tell me if there is one Kegerator that can fit a standard depth under the counter, but still be functional. Thank you. I did look around but only saw commercial kegerators being recommended.
I don't know if you're inclined to go in that direction, but have you considered building a keezer? Waaaaaay cheaper, loads of flexibility, many are well under 29" in depth, and far more bang for the buck.
Built ins are by design professional. They are designed to exhaust at the front. If place a standard kegerator, or any refrigeration into enclosed space you will over work the compressor and void the warranty. The appliance is first and fore most a heat removal machine, and that heat has to go somewhere. Next, a half barrel is at least 17" wide. So with a mere 6" of space in the front, back and both sides you have a 29"x29" appliance. So be realistic. The wiggle room, as you suggest, is probably not nearly enough. Try man handling a full keg, an empty keg, a bottle of CO2 attached to a regulator, while barefoot. Half in the bag. Game is on and thirsty friends are looking for refills. And the door swings open. You need lebensraum. This is a headache in all bars with under bar kegerators, trust me on this. Honestly you should consider another option. A keezer is one, but they are never small and they do not accept half barrels. And you have to build it. And still might not have adequate ventilation. And they are loaded from the top which is not helping under a bar. A pro model kegerator is going to be quite loud. No matter what go to your local bar the minute they open, ask them to turn down the music and listen to the incredible hum. It's going to be loud in your home. Summit makes an undercounter mount. http://www.beveragefactory.com/draf...MImaP5073G1gIVEJt-Ch0KkwQJEAYYAiABEgL4QPD_BwE And, you do need to have a plan to chill the draft tower. Not impossible but you are just adding one problem on another. I'm going to suggest you reconsider your layout. Rebuild is better than no keg beer. But your options are zero given the considerations. If you do find the solution please let us know. Cheers.
Thank you for the responses. I will try to upload a picture of the space to give a better understanding, I know it was a vague question concerning space. Thank you again, especially for the link.
