Steve's on Junction just posted yesterday afternoon that they'll have it on Monday, lottery only.

Just like Black Note, Madison gets probably 2 cases total and there's a frenzy for a 12oz bottle.....Id love to try them, but its pretty ridiculous.

Mars is already readily available in town, and I had an oracle last night. They are here

Drink Scream IIPA instead. Easy to get here and a better beer (IMHO and by ratings).

I definitely enjoy Scream, and other easily acquired iipas. I'm sure the two from Bells are good, but its frustrating with the limited amount we get. I get it with TG because of their self distro, but with Bells stuff I figure either we should get a reasonable amount or not at all.

IMHO, Bell's is just being dicks with this sort of thing. I fully expect that in a year or 2 they'll be to the point of allotting 1 4pack of BlackNote to the entire Madison area.

The thing is that if they brew more and send more out to everyone people may not be as excited.... This is the genius of a beer like Hopslam and other limited beers... If they were on the shelf all the time like many other great DIPAs they would sit there getting old because you no longer have to look forward to it, and can get it anytime you want. Dirtwolf for example flew off the shelves the first few times we got a small amount, now it sits with the rest of them.

Bells is big enough to brew enough to supply the marked but smart enough to know that it could hurt them to do so.

I'm good with how Hopslam is done, around for a month or so, then gone. Keeps it from sitting, keeps people engaged....i get it. But But releasing less than ten fucking cases of a beer to a huge craft community with over a half million people is just frustrating. I guarantee if we got 100 cases they'd get far better exposure and wouldn't sit more that a week. Limiting it so far down that we must enter a lottery for a 12oz bottle of beer is complete bullshit.

Well put. I feel the same way, however I usually would swear about it a lot more.
