Mr K's for bottle shop is a must. Then you can do Bruery (next door), Bottle logic, Green Cheek. If you do make the trek to SD I would recommend Alesmith, Modern Times.

EDIT, just realized your trip was set for February, so, how did it go? Trip report please @mambossa

I'll say that "Hatch" at the Tustin District has had impressive tap lists at times.

sorry for the confusion, I bumped an old thread with a question rather than creating a new one. Maybe that was a bad idea!

Pretty much all the same applies. I would say check out The Bruery or Bruery Terreux. Bottle logic only worth it when they have a stasis beer on tap, otherwise their beer is whatevers. Im not too familiar with food options but I would say Noble isnt a must stop anymore,. maybe once their expansio nis done.

Agree - great beers on tap at American Dream and the "party fries" (knockoff of Animal Style fries, but with better fries) go great with a Green Cheek IPA or lager. If you stick around Pacific City, I highly recommend LSXO (the Vietnamese speakeasy inside of Blue and Gold) which has incredible Vietnamese food in a small room with a killer ocean view (of course there are some better places, or at least places with better prices, in Little Saigon, but LSXO is one of the best restaurants in OC).

For good Mexican food in Fullerton, go to El Camino Real on Euclid St just north of the 91 Fwy. After that, go across the street to pick up beer to go at G and D Liquor. They have a great selection in a refrigerated walk-in cooler.

Yeah I would still say those Bruery, Bruery Terraeux, Bottle Logic, Green Cheek & Noble are tops in the area.

Not a must, but Unsung is a very cool space & pretty solid beers ... plus there's a BBQ place right next to it & a winery tasting room.

You need to head to Packing House in Anaheim and go to Iron Press... They have bottles of Roll For Initiative as well as rare treats on tap all week long.

Not a big fan of De Anda. The only thing I like about them is that they’re open late. Not many late night options in Orange County.

Try El Fortin, 700 E. Commonwealth in Fullerton. I've only had their chicken mole tamales. Most tasty.

Like when 2 weeks ago they had a KBS tap handle but were serving regular breakfast stout out of it?

I do usually go to bruery, bottle logic, and green cheek more than noble but it is definitely worth stopping by. Just depends what they have on tap which you can find online. Sometimes their selection is limited with just their so so beers on tap.

If you're going to Monkish, then you should go to Smog City and Yorkshire Square.

Beachwood is in HB and in Long Beach, with their sour place right behind it in Long Beach. All three are worth going in to. Hell, drive up the 1 Highway. Just do all three Beachwood places.

I can't imagine why, but I suppose that's what makes the world interesting. I'll try your place next time I'm there. my family still lives in F town so I get out there pretty often

Thanks for the recs folks. Not a fan of the Bruery at all. I'm a former society member, have been there countless times, but I'm done giving them my money. Fool be fourteen times, shame on me.

And I have been to pretty much every brewery mentioned in this thread, multiple times, with the exception of Unsung. Was trying to get some feedback on any beer bars and great eats in the area. I will certainly check out some of the recommended spots.
