I think that's an understatement. If you're in Huntington Beach and you want the best chance at something cool go here. They're big on El Segundo and Revision IPA's and the often have 120 on tap(if you're into that) and often have 3-5 big barrel aged beers on at a time. They had CBS on for weeks.

I've never seen such a clueless craft beer bar get such good beers though. They'll serve you Parabola in a frosted glass.

They'll also charge you an arm and a leg. At least when I went there many moons ago.

I went there once in like 2009 and thought they wouldn't last more than a year.

    Shows what I know.

If you've not been to Hollingshead's Deli, give it a try. Great tap list, good sandwiches. Check hours though - they used to be closed on weekends. I think they do one day now.

In HB, Beachwood is 2.4 miles from Slapfish. I consider that a nice combo.

I’m bumping...and robbing this thread because I can’t find a fuking thing on Left Coast Brewing here. I know I know. Left Coast? Yes I have tried a few of their beers long long time ago. I heard they opened up a 2nd location in Irvine. And they have food. BBQ. Yes...meat. They must be brewing some different style these days? Trestles was meh. Has anybody here in BA been to the Irvine location yet? Wondering how the food is? Okay, beer too?

Isn't their new location supposed to be a distillery too?

Yeah opened last week to absolutely ZERO fanfare amongst the beer geek crowd ... that should tell you something. Google & Yelp reviews at this point only ... I seriously would not go out of my way to check it out.

That said, really looking forward to the new TAPS location in Tustin ... beer, food and space look awesome! Opens this Monday.

Stopped by to watch a world cup game. Beer was meh and overpriced. There hazy IPA is $9 a pint and was gross. Some cheaper beers in the $6 range that are on par with goose island IPA. I didn't eat anything, but my friends said the brisket was pretty mediocre. Better KC bbq and beer at ember at native son and better overall bbq at Javs next to unsung

The big opening is Monday for TAPS barrel house and brewery. Proven great beer and food truck recipes have been tested at TAPS happy hour

TAPS is an exciting addition. Any other breweries opening up on the horizon?

What is the word on Brewery X? The one by Bottle Logic where everyone parked during week of logic.

Drove by last month (from Costa Mesa), didn't see anything really new near the building.

Looks like Gamecraft is coming along. Seeing updates on their IG page. I believe the new Taps opened today. Good god.

Just read about Ambitious ales and Trademark brewing co. Both are in LBC and scheduled to open this year.

Looking forward to Gamecraft in Laguna Hills ... based on the head brewers pedigree, it should be a fine addition to the South Orange County scene.

Just got home from TAPS and thought the space was awesome. Huge bar with two order stations, self order on the food with multiple kiosks is efficient, and overall good flow...lots of people there and it never felt too crowded. Beer was obviously good.

I'm excited for gamecraft, especially since they are going to be serious about craft lagers with multiple lagering tanks and of course they will come in with experience making solid IPAs.
