Yes indeed. This guy Brad also says their beers are great. Great compared to what? The KC BBQ grub that’s served there? Or compared to other local OC brewery’s? I never thought LC brews were great. One of these days when I’m in the area I will walk in to try their bbq and so so beers.

I stopped in to the new Left Coast because some co-workers and I were morbidly curious to see if the review lived up the hype. It kind of did? The place was also pretty popping. I guess the crowd there doesn't read the Register.

While I didn't taste any latex the barbecue was just bland. Mediocre brisket and flavorless pulled pork. It's sad when I can make more flavorful pulled pork in my pressure cooker

I've had Left Coast beer before and, like then, nothing blew me away. It was just...eh. The Una Mas was alright while the OC IPA was absolutely dreadful, it felt like something was incredibly off. I don't know if it was the hops or what but, to use terminology from a different subculture, it's like they made it with stems.

I had to go to the new Taps to wash away the the sad experience.

I’m doing the unthinkable today. Yes, stopping in to Left Coast Irvine for lunch. Their beers are not my cup of tea. Maybe because some of their ipa’s taste like tea. But I’ve been telling myself I’ve got to at least try this place. Not hearing too much good stuff on their foods either. Maybe I’ll just stick with their distilled spirits. :no_mouth:

Left Coast Irvine does a '75 hour brisket' that masquerades as a 75 hour smoked brisket. Pretty sure it's actually 75 hour sous vide which results in a brisket that is not good. Also seems they are using liquid smoke and/or curing salt in the process which makes it even worse.

Yup we ended up at Left Coast instead of our original planned day trip to Monterey. There were 6 of us and we all ordered something different from the food menu. Don’t order any of their fried finger type food. Stick with the hamburger. Not the best burger but better than anything else we tried. The pulled pork was not. I had 3 of their beers that I’ve never had before. Their so called hazy ipa was below meh. I should of just got a half pour. Their Imperial IPA tasted strong in @bv. Glad I only got a half pour. The South County IPA was my favorite, but that’s not saying much. Inside was nice. Kinda reminded of the inside of Gamecraft. Lots of flat screens to watch foosball. I’m glad I went. Now I don’t have to go back.
